Elizandra’s story

One of Brazil’s largest favelas, the beautifully named Paraisópolis (“Paradise City”) has undergone a transformation. Elizandra Cerqueira is an emblem of this renewal. With her culinary training and community-focused urban garden programs, she helps women feed their families nutritious food and live off their work.
