Women for Zero Hunger Program - 4th Edition Winner

  • Mar. 03, 2026

Congratulations!

Today, we’re thrilled to name Viddah Owino, Founder of AGRI‑CORE, as the winner of our Women for Zero Hunger (WFZH) program.

Created by Stop Hunger in partnership with Women in Africa Philanthropy three years ago, WFZH supports womenled solutions fighting hunger across Africa. This year, out of 600 applicants, three exceptional finalists were selected and supported through six months of dedicated mentorship

With AFRICORE’s biogas and smartfarming solutions for womenled households, Viddah is driving measurable impact and strengthening food security in vulnerable regions of Kenya. A special recognition goes to her mentor, Rachel Jones, who has supported her throughout this sixmonth journey.

We’re equally proud of our two other outstanding finalist–mentor pairs - Frédérique Tribondeau with Jessica Renelde Gyebre, and Florence Paris with Myriam Chimène Magni - whose leadership and projects are advancing meaningful solutions in the fight against hunger. It’s been inspiring to see how close and impactful these mentor partnerships have become over the past months.

Thank you to all our finalists and their mentors for making this another powerful edition of WFZH and for helping us contribute further to a hungerfree world.
