Our Story
The Stop Hunger movement was born in 1996 with a simple yet powerful act of generosity by a few Sodexo employees in a Boston school cafeteria. They realized that for some children, their school lunch was their only daily nourishment. As holidays approached, they wondered how these children would have access to balanced meals when the school closed. By mobilizing Sodexo's suppliers, they were able to provide meals during school breaks. What started as a local gesture of kindness sparked a global movement.
